Which size is right?

Match by mounting, center-spread, and spout reach to your sink:

Center spread8″ centers is the foodservice standard; 4″ centers on smaller sinks — match your sink's punched holes.
MountDeck/splash-mount on the sink deck; wall-mount for a backsplash; pre-rinse for the dish line.
SpoutSwing-spout reach must clear all bowls; gooseneck for pots.

Health-department & code relevance

Faucets on food-prep and warewashing sinks must be commercial-grade and, where they can submerge, protected against backflow — a vacuum breaker or air gap (FDA Food Code 5-202.13/5-402). Hand sinks need hot water ≥100°F within a reasonable time. Lead-free (NSF/ANSI 61/372) is required on potable lines.

Common questions

What size faucet fits my sink?

Match the faucet's center spread to the sink's punched hole spacing — 8″ centers is the commercial standard, 4″ on small sinks. Then confirm the swing-spout reaches over every bowl.

Do I need a vacuum breaker?

Any faucet that could submerge (hose threads, glass fillers, pre-rinse) needs backflow protection — a built-in vacuum breaker or an air gap — to pass a plumbing inspection.
